There is a lot being discussed nowadays about government grants for individuals, even though a lot of water has passed under the bridge since these policies were first formulated by the federal authorities. In the US, such minority groups are the Latin Americans, the African Americans, the island tribes, the Hispanics, the Asians and many other such people who contribute in a very small number to the total population of the country. The government does extend special government grants to minority individuals in order to live their lives in a better way. Most of these government grants for minorities are for establishing businesses (philanthropic and nonprofit businesses have better chances of qualifying for these grants), but even a person who wants to do something beneficial for his or her minority community can be eligible for government grants for personal use. The final eligibility will depend on the way the proposal is made, and the intentions of the individual applying for a government grant. So you have to check if you fit in any of the above categories. If you do, then you will have to make a very proper and detailed proposal of why you want the personal use government grant and how much amount you are looking out for. The government agencies you are applying to will certainly make a proper scrutiny of your proposal, and then give you the grants commensurate with their resources. It may be a while before you actually get the grant, if at all, because there is a serpentine queue outside all government agencies that are giving out grants. But you can definitely make the effort and get the best of these services.
